Central 70 Project On Hold Over The Holiday Weekend
DENVER (CBS4)- The Central 70 Project is on hold until next year, or just over the holiday weekend. Construction will resume next week, after the new year.
Crews said that fewer people on the road has helped them with paving new lanes and get the project ahead of schedule. CDOT says 2021 will be a monumental year for the project.
The next phase includes plans to shift eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 onto the new lanes and demolish the elevated portion of the interstate.
