CBS Investigation Finds Walmart Gift Receipts May Be Worth Less
A CBS investigation found gift receipts at Walmart may not be worth as much as the purchaser believed. The investigation looked at stores from California to New Jersey.
CBS visited stores using hidden cameras to purchase items then return them with gift receipts after the items went on sale.
One store clerk told the reporter that if the receipts do not have the actual price paid for the item on them, they have to refund the amount that comes up when the receipt is scanned.
