Apartment Complex Owners Still Face Massive Fines Over 'Bookshelves'

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - There's another delay in the case against the owners of an apartment complex in Boulder.

The owners of the Sterling University Peaks apartment complex are accused of violating building codes by placing movable bookshelves into rooms to make "private" rooms.

The bookshelves have been removed and replaced with curtains.

The city has filed hundreds of violations against the owners and the fines could reach as high as $920,000.
