A Salmonella outbreak tied to jalapeño peppers is the latest foodborne illness hitting Americans. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 345 people have been infected and 36 hospitalized in the Salmonella outbreak, even as the cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to shredded lettuce continues to grow.
