Monarez accuses RFK Jr. of political interference in CDC’s scientific work

The former head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention testified before the Senate Health Committee on Wednesday. Dr. Susan Monarez was fired less than a month after her Senate confirmation, and claims Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. required all CDC decisions to be cleared by political staff.
