Meta’s federal child safety trial begins
A landmark federal trial against tech giant Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, got underway on Tuesday with opening statements. Twenty-nine states, including Illinois and Indiana, accuse the company’s social media platforms of being designed to hook kids, harming their mental and physical health.
