Hyde Park Art Center honoring legacy of Black leaders on MLK Day
The Martin Luther King holiday is a day of service to honor the legacy of the civil rights leader. The Hyde Park Art Center is offering several different events to celebrate Black leaders following Dr. King's example. Ciera McKissick, public programs manager at Hyde Park Art Center, says one of their programs tells the story of Florence Price, the first Black woman composer to perform with a major symphony.
