Athletics director wins award for student and community impact

A southwest suburban athletic director is being recognized for his impact on the students he leads. John Young, the director of activities and athletics at Lemont High School, recently received the Rise Award, which honors school leaders for making a difference in the lives of student-athletes, coaches, and communities. He was chosen out of more than 800 athletic directors in Illinois.
