Activists protest after charges dropped against officer in teen’s violent arrest
Protesters gathered outside Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke’s office on Thursday, a day after prosecutors dropped all charges against Oak Park Police Officer Patrick O’Donnell, who was accused of using excessive force when he beat a teenager during an arrest in 2022.
