The latest killing happened just after 8 p.m. in South Shore, where officers responding to a call of shots fired found a 24-year-old man in a gangway with gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen in the 6800 block of South Cornell. He was dead at the scene, police said.
The homicide victims were found dead about 6:15 p.m. inside a vehicle parked in the 4500 block of South Wolcott in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
The weekend's latest fatal shooting happened just after 5 p.m. Sunday in the East Side neighborhood on the Far South Side.
Two men were critically injured when the vehicle they were in hit a firetruck early Saturday in the West Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.
