Most recently, a man was shot to death in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, police said. The 31-year-old was standing outside with a group of people in the 7000 block of South Morgan about 11:30 p.m. when several males walked up and someone opened fire.
The male, whose age was not known, was shot in the arm at 2:37 a.m. in the 3000 block of South Komensky, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.
Several people had to jump from the second story of a Little Village two-flat, after a fire started inside, and flames blocked their only exit.
