The fire started at 1:42 a.m. in a three-story vacant building in the 4200 block of West Grenshaw and spread to a two-story building, according to Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez.
Layona Dragash, 14, was later found dead on the second story of the home, authorities said.
