Last year, a jury convicted four former ComEd officials and associates of conspiring to bribe former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.
The sentencing hearings for the four people convicted in last year's ComEd bribery trial were delayed. Last year, a jury convicted former ComEd lobbyist Michael McClain, former ComEd CEO Anne Pramaggiore, retired ComEd vice president John Hooker and former ComEd consultant Jay Doherty of conspiring to bribe former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan to arrange no-work contracts and high-paying jobs to his allies in exchange for favorable treatment.
He said: "I can take care of you guys if you take care of me. I will give you money. This will cost me more," a police report said.
Closing arguments concluded Friday in the corruption trial of former Chicago Ald. Ed Burke. The jury will likely get the case on Monday or Tuesday.
