Zambrano will return to rotation, just not sure when
The Cubs have decided that Carlos Zambrano will return to the starting rotation soon. However, the exact date has not yet been set.
This comes one day after manager Lou Piniella announced that Zambrano would now be entering a long relief role in the bullpen. The long relief role will be used to ease him back into his starting job.
Originally, he had been slated to be a setup man. Zambrano is 1-3 this year with a 7.07 ERA.
