White Sox postpone home opener vs. Blue Jays until Friday due to stormy forecast

The White Sox have postponed Thursday's home opener against the Blue Jays until Friday, due to expected thunderstorms.

CBS Chicago meteorologist Kylee Miller says strong to severe storms are expected on Thursday afternoon, with the risk of heavy rain, strong winds, and hail.

The home opener originally scheduled for 3:10 p.m. on Thursday has been moved to 1:10 p.m. Friday. Parking lots at Rate Field will open at 10 a.m., and gates at the ballpark will open at 11:10 a.m. Friday originally would have been a day off for the Sox and Blue Jays.

All tickets and parking passes for the original Thursday home opener are valid for Friday's game.
