White Sox Call Up RHP Michael Ynoa

(CBS) The White Sox have called up right-hander Michael Ynoa from Triple-A Charlotte.

The 24-year-old Ynoa has gone 1-3 with a 3.90 ERA in 27 2/3 innings split between Double-A and Triple-A this season. He made a one-day cameo at the big league level on April 10 but didn't pitch for the White Sox. He has yet to appear in a big league game.

Ynoa came to Chicago from Oakland in a six-player deal in December 2014 that was headlined by right-hander Jeff Samardzija joining the White Sox.

In the early hours Tuesday after an extra-inning win against the Tigers, the White Sox had optioned right-hander Tyler Danish back to Triple-A. He had allowed two runs in 1 2/3 innings in three appearances recently.
