Walter's Perspective: Rahm Overload
Could it be? Is it possible that the opinion polls for the race for mayor are wrong? That Rahm Emanuel isn't really the front runner, that he is not in first place in the polls?
Then why does he need more help from the rich and famous people he knows?
Rahm is getting some serious help from Bill Clinton who boosts for Mr. Emanuel in his TV commercials. Not to mention the TV praise from President Barack Obama.
Both of these heavy hitters are helping Rahm with their pictures plastered all over Chicago television.
Maybe Rahm thinks all this is not enough because here comes another one.
This latest campaign is courtesy of the Obama program in outer space.
A picture has been taken by a US astronaut from the International Space Station to help Rahm Emanuel's campaign for mayor.
It is a beautiful picture of Chicago taken from space and is intended to be handed out to voters as he finishes campaigning.
And here on Earth we have been thinking the astronauts, space station, and NASA belong to all of us and not to a candidate for Mayor.
But hey, it's Rahm Emanuel. So think again.
