Two Firefighters Hurt In Robbins Home Fire
(CBS) -- Two firefighters needed medical attention after trying to extinguish a building fire in south suburban Robbins.
Police say emergency responders were called to the home around 10:30 p.m. Friday to find the flames shooting up from a vacant home off of Lawndale and West 137th Street.
Local police say at least two fire fighters were hurt at that time.
A neighbor believes those first responders may have fallen through the roof as part of the structure collapsed.
It's unclear how severe their injuries are but that neighbor believes they'll be ok.
While a CBS 2 news crew was on the scene early Saturday morning, the fire reignited, and the crew called 911. Firefighters returned to the home within minutes.
