Teen Boy Fatally Shot In Back Of The Yards

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A teenage boy was fatally shot Monday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 17-year-old -- identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Christopher Clark -- was shot multiple times about 6:40 p.m. near Hoyne Avenue and 54th Street, said police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety.

Clark, of the 4800 block of South Seeley Avenue, was pronounced dead 7:26 p.m. at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, the medical examiner's office said.

Clark apparently was shot in the chest. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
