Supporting United Way's April Food Day with Chicago area high schools

CHICAGO (CBS) — CBS News Chicago is a proud partner and sponsor of the United Way's "April Food Day."

The purpose of the campaign is to help nourish our neighbors, because everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food.
Meeting the basic needs of our neighbors, like food security, is a key part of United Way's approach to building a stronger, more equitable Chicago region.

Through donations of non-perishable food items, household goods, and financial support, the community can help make this possible for individuals and families in need.

CBS News Chicago traveled to various local high schools, who gathered food to donate to their neighbors.
