Stanford Offering Three Free Classes Online
Tuition for one year at Stanford University costs about $40,000, but now there's a way you can take classes there for free.
A group of professors is inviting anyone with an Internet connection to take a few courses at no cost.
The classes are tough, including Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. The video lessons follow along at the same pace with the actual class on campus.
You'll need to know higher math, like linear algebra.
You won't get college credit, but you will get a statement of accomplishment. You'll have homework and there are deadlines.
Two other online classes are also being offered for free – Introduction to Databases, and Machine Learning.
So far, more than 75,000 people have signed up in 175 different countries.
