Man in custody after standoff with police on Chicago's West Side
A man was apprehended late Wednesday night after a standoff in Chicago's East Garfield Park neighborhood.
At 11:41 p.m., a Chicago police SWAT team was dispatched to the 2700 block of West Flournoy Street for a man barricaded inside a home, police said.
Following the standoff, the 23-year-old man was placed into custody without incident.
Charges were pending Thursday morning. Further details were not released.
