Slain Football Star Remembered At Dual Vigils
(CBS) -- Family, teammates, and friends in two states on Thursday remembered a former Simeon football player who was slain last week.
Demarius Reed was a starter for Eastern Michigan University. His body was found in his off-campus last Friday.
His murder is unsolved.
CBS 2's Brad Edwards reports from Gately Stadium, where Reed was remembered in a special ceremony.
Meanwhile, in Ypsilanti, Mich., a rally was held. Reed's mom attended.
Robbery is still eyed as a potential motive. The reward to solve the crime has been increased to $10,000.
