Six Hurt, Including Two Police Officers, In Crash Involving CPD Vehicle

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Six people were injured in an accident on the Far South Side involving a Chicago police vehicle Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the intersection of 108th and State in the Fernwood neighborhood. Witnesses told CBS 2's Mike Parker the police vehicle was traveling eastbound on 108th, the wrong-way on a one-way street, when it T-boned a sedan.

According to a Chicago Fire Department spokesman, six people were hospitalized, with four people transported to Roseland Hospital and two Chicago police officers taken to Christ Hospital. Chicago Police News Affairs says the injuries to the officers are non-life threatening.
