Sister Keeps Memory Of Missing Brother Alive

WEST CHICAGO (CBS)-- It was five years ago today when businessman and musician John Spira disappeared from his West Chicago office parking lot.

Across the street from where Spira, 45, worked -- and disappeared in 2007 -- his sister Stephanie McNeil has put up a sign on County Farm Road that says: "Find John, Missing 2-23-07."

And she has some very definite ideas about what may have happened to her brother.

"I just want those who murdered my brother - and this is a murder case - to see his smiling face every time they drive by here," she said. "That's my goal. As a reminder. And to keep the public aware that this case is still going on."

The DuPage County Sheriff's office has investigated the case.

The sheriff's office issued a statement, saying the Spira case is still an active investigation and that detectives want help from the public.

As for the sign asking for tips, Stephanie McNeil says this is the fourth sign she's put up. Two of the others, she says, were torn down by someone.

There is a website about the case: johnspira.com
