Rangers show interest in Pierzynski
According to The Tribune, the Texas Rangers have an interest in acquiring Sox catcher AJ Pierzynski. In 4 weeks, Pierzynski will have the power to veto any trade because he will become a "5 and 10 man." This veto power has fueled the rumors about the Sox shopping Pierzynski sooner rather than later. He is currently batting .200 and the Sox are drastically underachieving. With 6 starting position players batting below .250, a Pierzynski trade may not be the only shakeup that the Sox are exploring.
