Cubs 3B Aramis Ramirez was placed on the DL today due to a left thumb contusion.
Chad Tracy was recalled and will take his place on the roster.
Ramirez was struggling this season, batting just .168 with 5 homeruns. He has struck out 45 times in 47 games.
