Police: Man Dead, Another Injured In Loop Crash

(STMW) -- A Loop crash left one person dead and another injured early Saturday.

The crash happened just after 3:20 a.m. near Lower Wacker Drive and Garvey Court, police said.

A BMW was heading westbound on Wacker when it collided with a Jeep, then struck a concrete barrier, police said.

The 19-year-old man driving the BMW was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died, police said.

The driver of the Jeep, and 18-year-old man, was in good condition at Northwestern, police said. No citations were expected to be filed.
