Police investigate report of stabbing on CTA Red Line
Police were on the scene at the CTA Belmont Avenue Red-Brown-Purple Line station in Lakeview early Thursday.
Chicago police have not confirmed what happened. But dispatch audio indicated that a stabbing may have been involved, and a man initially believed to be the victim was taken into custody along the Red Line at 79th Street.
No CTA alerts for the Red Line came in overnight.
As of the morning rush, Chicago Transit Authority trains were moving normally at the Belmont station.
