(STMW) -- A man was stabbed and seriously injured Friday night in a bar in north suburban Skokie.

About 10:10 p.m., officers responding to a call of two males fighting at the Skokie House Bar, 7887 Lincoln Ave., found a 52-year-old man with several stab wounds, according to a statement from Skokie police.

The man was taken in serious condition to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.

A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing as the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force investigates.
