CHICAGO (STMW) -- An 18-year-old man was shot to death Saturday night in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

Tyshon Anderson, who lived on the same block where he was killed, was in the first-floor hallway of a building in the 2700 block of East 80th Street about 11:05 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him in the head, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced at 11:50 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
