Man Killed In Garfield Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a shooting in Garfield Park Saturday night on the West Side, police said.
Jason Jernigan, 27, was discovered in a vacant lot in the 3300 block of West Van Buren Street with gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen about 10:50 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Jernigan, of the 3400 block of West Adams Street, was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:07 p.m., authorities said.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
