Man In Custody After Exchanging Gunfire With Police
CHICAGO (STMW) -- No one was injured when Chicago Police exchanged gunfire with a man who was taken into custody Sunday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
Police responded at 11:15 p.m. to a report of a man with a gun in the 1400 block of North Linder Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
Shots were exchanged between police and the man but no one was injured, Estrada said.
The man was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered.
Charges are pending as of Monday morning.
Area North detectives are investigating.
