Loop Bank Robbed

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A bank has been robbed in the Loop Saturday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at 1:57 p.m. at the Chase Bank branch in the 500 block of South Dearborn Street, according to police.

The robber was described as a white man between the ages of 25 and 30 with a slim build, 5-foot-5, and wearing a black coat, according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

The suspect apparently had a weapon and he was carrying a brown bag, the officer said.

He made off with an undetermined amount of money, fled south on Dearborn and was not in custody at 3 p.m. according to Zala.
No one injured, Zala said.

Police said the address of the bank is 550 S. Dearborn St., according to police.
