CHICAGO (STMW) -- Gun charges are pending against a person who was arrested after a crash on the Kennedy Expressway early Tuesday on the Northwest Side.

The two-vehicle crash happened about 12:30 a.m. on I-90/94 near Addison, according to Illinois State Police.

One male, whose age was not immediately available, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon after the crash, police said. Investigators recovered a handgun at the scene and charges against him were pending early Tuesday.

No injuries were reported in the crash, according to police.
