K-Rod to anger management

Not too long ago it was Chicago's own Carlos Zambrano heading to anger management after an outburst that made headlines. Now the Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez is heading for the same type of treatment after his arrest Wednesday night on charges that he assaulted the father of his common-law wife.

In addition to anger management therapy, the Mets have also placed the pitcher on a two-day suspension without pay. This decision was negotiated between the Mets, MLB, and players union. He is also to be examined by doctors by both the MLB and players union and if Rodriguez changes his mind about the treatment, further discipline could be taken against him.
