Halloween Trick-or-Treating is being held in communities in the Cook County suburbs of the Chicago area on Thurs., Oct. 31, 2013. Most communities recommend that adults take costumed children out early in the recommended trick-or-treat hours to take advantage of daylight, for safety's sake. Many of the communities request that children only visit houses with the welcoming outside lights illuminated, in order to respect the privacy of homeowners and for the safety of the children.

Following are the recommended trick-or-treating hours in the Cook County suburbs of Chicago. Hours may change! If you have questions about trick-or-treating in your community, please check with the local government office or police department.
