Fifth Teen Surrenders To Police In Gurnee Sexting, Cyber-Bullying Case

(CBS)- A fifth teen surrendered to police Tuesday in connection with the recent sexting and cyber-bullying incident at Warren Township High School, in Gurnee.

The teen surrendered at about 4 p.m., was processed and was released within two hours to his parents, who accompanied him to the police station. Cmdr. Willie Meyer says police will ask the Juvenile Court to approve felony charges of distributing child pornography – the same charges they are seeking against four other teens, whom police arrested last week, three boys from Warren and a girl from Grayslake Central High School.

The victim is a Warren freshman girl. Police have spoken with dozens of students, all told, but Meyer said this is expected to be the last arrest.
