CTA Brown Line train hits car on Chicago's Northwest Side
A CTA Brown Line train hit a car in Chicago's Ravenswood Manor neighborhood.
The car sustained front-end damage in the crash, which happened at a grade-level Brown Line crossing along Manor Avenue between Leland and Eastwood avenues. The entrance to the Francisco station is at the junction of the north-south Francisco and the northwest-southeast diagonal Manor avenues.
Front-end damage was seen on the car. Investigators have not said what happened, but the lights and gates at the crossing were working when CBS News Chicago's camera crew arrived.
Riders had to take shuttle buses while Brown Line service was suspended, but the Chicago Transit Authority said everything was back to normal by 11 a.m.
No further details have been released on the cause of the crash or any injuries reported.
