Crawford on Kane: 'He's Unbelievable'
(WSCR) With the season opener Friday, the Blackhawks are expecting even bigger things from their star, Patrick Kane.
"He's just one of those guys in the league that's just unbelievable," Corey Crawford told The Mully and Hanley Show on Tuesday. "He makes things happen that shouldn't happen. He opens up plays just by his skill and his passing ability, the way he sees the ice. He's just one of those guys that you get offense from him when teams should be shutting him down. When it doesn't seem like he has any room left, he's making a great pass across or making a spin move, or doing something to get guys out of the way or just feed an open man.

With big expectations on Kane, Crawford doesn't think the team needs to put too much pressure on the right winger because of the depth of their offense.
"Obviously we expect a lot of big things from him, but then again, you don't want to put too much pressure on him," Crawford said. "I don't think you have to because our offensive is so spread out that there are so many guys. If a team is focused on Kane, then you can just go to the next guy."
The Blackhawks goaltender signed a three-year contract extension worth $8 million last season.
"It was kind of unexpected. I was hoping for as much ice time as possible last year, but it just kind of evolved into this," Crawford said. "Obviously, I'm happy and excited for this. Hopefully I'll be playing in more games this year, so I'm excited get started."
