Cops: Man Sexually Assaulted 5-Year-Old While Babysitting
YORKVILLE, Ill. (STMW) - A rural Kendall County man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl he was babysitting at his home last fall.
Thomas Haring, 26, of the 17000 block of Frazier Road in Plano, was arrested July 10 and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, and criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's office.
On Nov. 19, 2011, the mother of the 5-year-old victim reported her daughter had been sexually assaulted at the home of Haring, a friend of hers who was babysitting, according to police.
On July 5, a warrant was issued for Haring and he was arrested five days later in Chicago. He was released from the Kendall County Jail on July 11 after paying 10 percent of a $250,000 bond.
