Company Puts Power Of Good In The Hands Of The People
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A card arrives from the postman, with $10 inside.
It's not a rebate or free money or a gift from grandma.
It's a donation, but not for you.
But you get to decide how to use it for something good.
That's the idea behind a social experiment, #10BucksOfGood--to spread good cheer for those who need it.
Rather than make a donation itself, Legacy Marketing decided to put the power of charity into the hands of the people and sent out hundreds of cards, each with $10.
The charge: Use the money to help somebody and then share the result at 10BucksOfGood.com.
What would you do with the $10?
Here are just some of the hundreds of examples of paying it forward, randomly:
- Money to help children with behavioral challenges in Iowa
- 30 meals for the needy in North Texas.
- A free meal for the person in a fast-food drive thru.
- A free bunch of flowers to a customer in a check out line.
- Decorations for a children's hospital.
- Train fare for a mother and child.
What would you do with $10?
No, that's not the right question: What WILL you do with $10?
You don't have to wait for the postman to arrive.
It is up to you.
