Chicago Weather: Snow Thursday; Temperature Drop Ahead

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Snow is on the way.

A Winter Weather Advisory begins at 11 a.m. Thursday.  A mix of rain and snow is possible this morning, changing to mostly snow by the early afternoon.

Throughout the day, 2 to 3 inches of accumulation is possible across the Chicago area. A few isolated locations could see slightly higher accumulations. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s.

Cold temperatures arrives Thursday night and the snow ends. Temperatures will likely stay between 6 below zero (for lows)  and 15 degrees above zero (for highs) through the end of next week.
