Chicago weather: Flood Warning in effect through evening

A Flood Warning is in effect for Cook and Will counties in Illinois until 11:45 p.m.

A Flood Watch remains in place on the Illinois side until 7 p.m. Saturday and until 1 a.m. Sunday on the Indiana side.

As the low-pressure system slowly moves through, it's continuing to pinwheel rain showers throughout the area. Rain could pick up at times Saturday night, with a possible thunderstorm. 

Another half of an inch of rainfall accumulation through early Sunday morning is possible.

Dangerous waves now through Monday morning. Beach Hazard statement in effect for rip currents and 7-10-foot waves.

Monday: Cooler lakeside. High: 78, Low: 62

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High: 83, Low: 67

Wednesday: Afternoon storms. High: 80, Low: 67

Friday: Isolated storms. High: 82, Low: 68

Saturday: Scattered storms. High: 83, Low: 69
