CHICAGO (CBS) — Service has resumed on the Forest Park branch of the CTA Blue Line, but residual delays were expected Tuesday morning, after a derailment of track equipment disrupted service.

CTA officials said the disruption started at 1:37 a.m., adding service was suspended between Forest Park and Harlem on the Forest Park branch due to "track conditions."

According to CBS 2's Kris Habermehl, some track equipment derailed near Harlem. No injuries have been reported.

By 8:30 a.m., CTA officials said Blue Line trains were running again with residual delays between Forest Park and Harlem. Riders should expect some trains and platforms to be busier than usual as normal service is restored.
