(STMW) -- A 13-year-old boy was critically wounded Friday evening in a South Austin neighborhood shooting on the West Side.
Two groups of people got into a "heated" argument at 8:27 p.m. in the 5500 block of West Jackson when a male pulled out a gun and fired shots, according to Chicago Police. The boy, who was standing down the street, was hit by a stray bullet in the lower back.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
