Best Bars With Free Snacks In Chicago
There are plenty of bars, taverns and pubs throughout the city. There are also plenty of sports bars, places with games and clubs. While The Florentine, located in the JW Marriott in the Loop, isn't technically a bar but a restaurant, it serves the best happy hour snack of the bunch: pizza. Just order an alcoholic drink between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the friendly servers here will deliver a personal cheesy pizza pie to you (that's right, it's a free pizza per customer who orders a drink). While the cocktails here typically clock in at more than $10, the free pizza more than makes up for it.

Go for the live bands and DJs in this Logan Square hot spot and stay for the cheap beer and the rotating jar of candy. Sometimes the candy jar is stuffed with old Halloween candy. Other times it has bags of pop rocks or an array of Charleston Chews, which go perfectly with the whiskey, bourbon and draft beers. While a relatively new bar, opening in 2007, it's already established itself as a cozy venue for great music and even some great candy.

Farragut's is an Andersonville neighborhood bar through and through, and as such, it serves a free snack that makes sense: beer nuts. Those nuts are perfect to nosh on while you play at the free pool tables or while you wait your turn. Farragut's also sometimes offers small bags of snacks to soak up that alcohol, from bottled brews to mixed drinks that are only about $2 to $4. The snacks also go well with the Golden Tee machine.

What's better than a Roscoe Village bar that's dog friendly and has a bocce court (bring your own balls)? One that serves pretzel rods to go with your beer. Cheese is often offered up for free too. In other words, it feels like hanging out in a friend's backyard, and that's the highest compliment a neighborhood bar can get.

Located in jam-packed Wrigleyville, Full Shilling draws people in on a Chicago Cubs game day with a free Chicago hot dog an hour before and after the game, whether the team wins or loses. Free popcorn is also always being popped. Just grab a container and serve yourself. The bar also has a full menu for those who require more food to soak up the booze, which may include $2 PBRs, $3.50 Blue Moon drafts, and other specials, depending on the day of the week.
