A One Game Win Streak

Following a stinker of epic proportions on Saturday the Cubs rebounded Sunday with a laugher from the other side beating the Angels 12-1. Just 2 hits on Saturday turned into 18 hits on Sunday and the whole lineup got into the act. Five different players had two hits, Ryan Theriot had three while Derrek Lee drove in 4 runs.

Carlos Zambrano had his best pitching performance in a long long time as he lasted 7 innings for just his 3rd overall win of the season and just his 1st here at Wrigley Field. Afterwards Zambrano said it's not how you start but how you finish and even stated if you are the World Series MVP all is forgiven. I guess he was saying that he could very well get that award but honestly it would take a lot for the Cubs to even be in that position.

So now the Cubs hit the road for 3 games in Seattle where they will face old friend (stretching the truth) in Milton Bradley and then it's back home (sort of) when they take on the White Sox at US Cellular. The World Series MVP award might be out of reach but the BP Cup is up for grabs in that series.
