(CBS) -- They say Halloween night is a dangerous night to be a pedestrian and the experience of a North Shore family illustrates why, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
Winnetka police say it was just before 6 p.m. Friday when a three-year-old boy out trick-or-treating with family ran into the street and was hit by a car in the 1400 block of Asbury Ave.
The boy was rushed to Evanston Hospital where he was listed in good condition. Police say he is from Glencoe and the driver is a 24-year-old woman from Winnetka. They say she was cooperative and was not issued any traffic citations.
The incident remains under investigation.
