1 person dead in house fire in Joliet Township, Illinois
One person is dead after a house fire in Joliet Township, Illinois Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called around 4:30 p.m. for the blaze at 522 Pontiac St., in Joliet Township just outside the city of Joliet.
By the time firefighters arrived, the small house was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire, and checked the house — where they found one person dead inside.
The victim has not been identified.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Will County Sheriff's police.
